Because of all the things it has to do, and number one on the list is staying alive long enough to reproduce.

After millions of years of evolution dealing with everything that nature can throw at it, the result is necessarily complex.

Animal bodies are just as complex as ours (of course).

Because it is the best object ever created. Just the brain alone is decades from being equaled, and even a supercomputer now is comparable to a cockroach brain. They both do different things, but with similar processing power. One mind-numbingly calculates numbers, the other runs 6 legs and allows the it to survive, despite having a fraction the intellect of a child.

The rest of the body runs the cells, the digestive tract processes fuel, the lungs gather the burnant, the cells extract the energy, the lungs, bladder, ****, exhaust what's left.
And the blood is the roads and the nerves are the internet.

The limbs move the power plant, the hands allows it to do things.
Mostly without having to conciously think.
It's all like a finely tuned machine, nothing without a purpose.

think of it like a car engine:) when one part fails,so do all the others slowly,.

keep it well oiled,filled with fuel and tender looking care and it should last a life time
