I have to design a test for high school students. Any creative ideas so they may somewhat enjoy taking the test? Not any of that old, boring test styles.

I really like this question and hope you receive some good ideas. I'm assuming you need to have a written exam. How's this -

Write a series of questions - actually 5-10 more than you need for grading (for example, give 30 questions when you want them to answer 25). Include just a couple of fun questions that are free points.

Place numbers 1-30 on strips of paper (to be drawn from a fish bowl)

Have the class review the list of questions, then let them know that a total of 25 questions will be used. Walk around the class and have students draw a question number (they will need to answer each question that is drawn).

Seems a bit silly, but they'll be rooting for the easier questions and hoping for the free points.

GIve yourself some time - this is going to take a bit longer to facilitate than your standard test.
