Is there a way such that I can use Firefox as my default browser on my (admin) account, and my father can use IE as his default browser on his (admin) account?

So far I'm stuck letting him have IE as the default browser for the entire computer, and running Firefox as a secondary.

When I set FireFox to default, it removes default status from IE, and vice versa. However, it does it across accounts for some reason.
Why does my dad like IE better? He's set in his ways, I can't change him, it's his choice, it's his computer.

all you have to do is go to the Toolbar > Tools > Options > System Defaults > make Firefox your default Browser.

you dad has to do the same thing with IE when he logs in under his account except to set it to IE

Show your father how easy it is to steal his ID if he is using IE6 or 7.
Show him this example test using both IE & Firefox

The link above will take you to secunia, a Danish computer security service provider best known for tracking vulnerabilities in software and operating systems.

Hopefully your father will then switch over to Firefox; if not, then maybe you can try to something else.
You can make Firefox look exactly like IE, then maybe he might be comfortable with it

Well anyways,

If you open Firefox and set it as default browser, that setting should only affect your account.

Why in the world does he like IE? Is it the big blue E?! What i did for my mother-in-law that worked pretty well...is i disguised Mozilla Firefox as IE. She didnt notice the difference until she was looking for "Favorites" I told her it was a patch for IE that changed favorites to "Bookmarks"
