I'm thinking about killing myself because I think I'm going to hell and It's my fault. I began my faith journey at 17 and gave up sexual immorality (lust). However, I have resorted to doing it again after I have truly repented. Hebrews 10:26-27 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgement and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God. I can't convert to another religion because I know Jesus is truth. What do I do?

Dear, I hope you read and listen to this. I have no way of knowing if you are serious, but I'm going to assume you are.

I'm familiar with the verse in Hebrews and, if you're right in your interpretation, then you're right - you're going to hell.

However, what if you are wrong? Many people do not remain the same religion all their life; many people have a different interpretation of the Bible over long periods of time.

If you are right, and you kill yourself, you will go to hell today.
If you are right, and you do not kill yourself, then you will go to hell - but after a long, potentially fulfilling life.
If you are wrong, and you kill yourself, your life will be over, forever, with no possibility of return.
If you are wrong, and you do not kill yourself, you may yet realize how and why you are wrong and why you are not condemned to hell.

You have everything to gain by staying alive - and you have nothing to gain by taking your life. At the least, you can still have a good life before hell. Why not grab at that chance?

When I was 17, I thought Chrisianity was the only true religion. Now I don't - and I've never been happier, no longer fearing hell daily. You might feel this way too when you're my age. Do you want to throw away your chance to find out?

Hebrews 10:26: “If we practice sin willfully after having received the accurate knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice for sins left.”

Such deliberate sins are related to contradicting the operation of God's spirit, which is said to be the only unforgivable sin.

I do not judge you though, God knows what in your heart is so I cannot say that he will not forgive you if you truly repent and never deliberately repeat whatever sin it is...to kill yourself will be adding injury to your mistakes!

but be rest assured that God does not toast the dead in hell, they just cease to exist.

ALL SINS ARE FORGIVEABLE. I've been in the same situation and thought I was going to burst hell wide open but, you have to listen to yourself. You've not been turned over to a reprobate mind. The devil will have you thinking you'd rather end it because there is no other choice but that is not true. Since that expereince and real fear that happened to me 20 years ago...The Lord has taken me higher in him and I've continually been used of Him. God is bigger than any sin and He is not the author of the guilt you feel. Repent, and trust in His forgiveness, even if you don't feel anything. Remember the Biblle also teaches us that he who says he has no sinned is a liar. What does Paul say about this body of death. That which I would not that do I. etc. Trust me, you're okay. jthomasgmt@yahoo.com

First of all...if you know Jesus is real... you know that suicide is not a forgiveable sin. At least you can be forgive for the other sin (sexual immorality). God is a god that is slow to anger and ready to forgive all confessed sin. Don't do it....you can come out of this alive and you can have the victory but don't give up

well, first of all get your head on straight, then stop believing in this nonsensical bullshit of heaven and hell. Heaven and hell are states of mind, and it seems like you're in some hell right about now. Think about, don't kill yourself. I don't even know who you are but I am pretty sure that no matter what has happened you shouldn't do it. Secondly, think about, if you are going to hell, or so you think, why would you want to speed up the process? Life is about trial and error and growing in understanding. Make amends for your past sins, now!

As for the whole bull sh*t about punishment being more severe after you received knowledge of truth, that's lame and untrue on all sides. Nobody judges you except for you! Listen to this. You are the only one that judges you. As for God, I've once heard that his judgment is forgiveness, so if you want to be within the image of your creator, forgive yourself, over and over again, only then will you stop torturing yourself and thinking that you're some lame-*** who deserves to die because he had or thought about sex. Get a girlfriend.

As for Jesus being truth. Grow up man. I have lots of heroes in my life, as well as Jesus, and a couple of imaginary friends, but I'm not going to let any f***ing thing like that control my life.

Go talk to your parents about this, you'll be so ashamed of even thinking about this that you'll wish you never even asked this question.

But, after all, forgiveness is a virtue. As well as patience. Have some patience, take care of yourself, and work out these "sins" that you think you have.

Peace, and God bless.

Ok, calm down...
It's time to let go of ancient superstition and the rabid pronouncements of pastors and priests, and start thinkng logically. There is no evidence of any kind that there is any such thing as "hell" (or heaven, or god). Anybody who tells you that you are going to hell has no proof whatsoever that they are correct. Even within their own religion, judgement is up to god, not to any people (and that includes YOU). So don't let anyone else judge you, and don't judge yourself. This CERTAINLY isn't worth killing yourself over. Don't let the panderers of superstition convince you that you are worthless or bad -- you're not. You're a human being whose life has value, and who has the potential to do great things if you will free your mind and work towards goals.

Stay here with us -- this life is the only one you've got! Stick around and make the most of it! Please...you have value, and you are NOT a bad person!

Oh, man, I can't BELIEVE that people are posting here telling somebody who's thinking of killing himself because of religious guilt that he'll go to hell if he kills himself, heaping YET MORE religious guilt on this guy! Stop that!!!!

Don't let these people get to you -- there is no hell, and this life is all you have! Don't throw it away, please!

If you are saved - you have received Jesus as your personal Saviour, and He will (if you are sincere) intercede for you. There is no sin that Jesus did not cover with His blood sacrifice on the cross of Calvary. If you truly believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He came, bled, died, and rose again on the third day to save us from our sin and you have asked Him to come into your heart and save you, then you can trust in Him to do just that. You do not lose His Salvation once you have received it - He is powerful and is able to keep you. Please do not kill yourself. Right now, pray to God this simple prayer (and mean it!)--Lord, Jesus, I realize that I am a sinner, and that I can not save myself. I also realize that you came and paid for my sin with your blood, and I ask that you will forgive me for my sins. I ask that you come into my heart and save my soul and place the Holy Spirit in my heart that I may resist the devil's snares in my life. Protect and keep me Lord Jesus and give me a new life here on earth and eternal life in Heaven.
If you will earnestly pray to this effect, Jesus will honoryour request - then you have nothing to fear - you will have the promise of eternal life. God bless you in your quest - the scripture that you reference should not be interpreted the way that you perceive it now. Jesus merely wants us to receive the gift of eternal life that He has already paid for. The choice is up to you. After you are saved, you will still be a sinner, but a sinner saved by the grace of God.

Jesus is indeed the truth, however that doesn't necessarily prevent you from converting to Islam. As we Muslims acknowledge Jesus to be:
1- One of the five greatest prophets of God.
2- We believe in his miraculous birth and that his mother Marry(Mariam in Arabic) is a virgin, and she conceived Jesus without a man ever touching her.
3- That Jesus (Issa in Arabic), is our savior, and that God(Allah) Will send him back to us, to save humanity.
4- That Jesus is indeed the spirit of God, and it's resurrected in many Islamic textures.
5- However we do not believe in his false Crucifixion, as Allah Explains in the Holy Koran, that he was not crucified but that it was made to appear to them(The Jews), because we believe Allah saved him from being crucified.

In Islam All sinners might be forgiven, and every Muslim is eventually going to heaven after he serves his penalty for his sins in hell, and Allah also in some cases might forgive the sinner without letting him go to hell.

and finally, I hope that you find your way out of these bad habits and give up all these sins, and may Allah (God) guide you to the righteous path of Islam, and I'm sure if you truly love Jesus, then That's what your going to chose.

JESUS IS TRUE!!!
It says in the Bible that a man can sin, but all sin is equal and you can always turn back to God in times of help.
People's lives have been changed THROUGH HIM>!!
Don't think that he'll hate you since you have done a sin. All sin is the same to him.
There is ALWAYS a second chance through his eyes.

Swettie, ask Jesus he'll know what to do. Its just a way the devil is trying to wear you down. get back up!!!! Your mouth confession using Gods word combined with faith with tear down this wall once and for all. Seperate your self from what ever tempts you, nobody tells you this when you get born again but the devil is a sore loser!! hes going to do what is can to keep you continually oppressed and feeling like Jesus wont forgive you. But that not our Christ, ..his word says we are" overcomers, overcomers of the World, devil and the FLESH". this struggle with the flesh is very strong. But Christ is the author and finisher of your faith. Truley repent, get youself in the word even if its over & over through out the day. Bust the devil up with the very words of God with your mouth confession, then when your are stronger you can put your self back into any cituation and have Victory. Our mouth confession brings life or death to us all..so dont confess what satan wants, he wants your life. He doesnt want it like Jesus does!! he went to the cross to die for you so you can be free of this loser once and for all. Build your strength from the word. Its never to late to get back up , Jesus is always waiting!!
