If you are using a digital HDMI connection, and the set came with a cable, use it. There is no difference in signal quality in HDMI cables. If you are using component cables (Y,Pr,Pb) then you should get a good quality cable (do not use the one that came with the TV), but Monster is overpriced. If you can get to a major electronic's supply store (like Fry's) they will have other brands that are less expensive and will work just as well.
