You being born early really has nothing to do with how long your baby will take to be ready to be born. Do you even know WHY you were early? It's not something that is genetic. You are not destined to repeat your mother's birth stories.

I was a premie, born one month early. My mom also had a little boy born 2 mos early who didn't survive. (Although today he might have made it.) My kids were all born totally healthy and very close to their due dates.

There is always a chance any baby will be born early, but not necessarily so if you were born early.

Yes, it 's a big possibility that your baby will be early because you were. It also depends on the father, too. My baby's dad was born early and I was born late, so our son was born two weeks early like his father. Our baby took mostly his dad's genes.

It doesn't follow that your baby will be early because you were. You baby could well be early, lots are, but it won't be because you were early.

The chances that your baby will be pre-mature are the exact same if you weren't born pre-mature. Don't sweat it. Your baby will be fine.
