I was raised as a Christian and wished I could still believe. But, alas, I cannot.

He thinks so.. he predicted that George Bush would win by a landslide in the last presidential election.
He predicted that the U.S. would be hit by a tsunami in 2006, but says that he was half right because of the rains that flooded new england.
The man is a joke... he's also said that he prayed hurricanes away from the East Coast.. gets him a lot of publicity now, doesn't it?

Not really, he did predict Bush getting elected both elections, but even then he said it would be an easy win, so no not really. The 2000 election was the closest in history with the electorial college have to decide, so in my humble opinion that is not a prediction come true, but a guess that had a fifty fiftey chance of making it. If however he had predicted that bush would win but would go down in history because the electorial college had to decide, than maybe, just maybe I would think he had some kind of power.

He predicted to his public relations manager that he'd be in the papers again today, and lo and behold, there he was.

I do truly understand where you are coming from. It's hard to maintain your faith with people like that out there! I just wish that they realized the impact they had on other people.

It's really funny. My wife became a Christian by watching his show and she is in the ministry now. God can use anybody!!
