Of course they can, some people live miles apart but remain in love. Even the simplest little gesture can convey love. Love can last a lifetime it doesn't mean your partner doesn't love you just because you have had no contact.

The key word here is days, that's really not that long. Abscence makes the heart grow fonder, if you are with someone 24/7 then you end up getting sick of one another and fighting. Nobody can fall out of love after a couple of days. I hardly see my partner because he works nights, but I still love him.

It is true that absents makes the heart grow fonder.
We all need our space from time to time but true love knows no time limits or boundaries.
You do not need to constantly see some one to be in love with them. Love is as much a longing to see and thinking about a person as being in their arms or bed.
If you are both genuinely pleased to see each other when you do meet, love is in the air.
You do not have to see each other to communicate your love. Try the good old fashion love letter or some poetry to each other.
Hope this helps.

oh yes. definately. i met my boyfriend on the internet. he lives nearly 200 miles away from me and we have only been apart for 3 weekends in 6 months! we both work during the week and luckily i only work monday to thursday, so that means i can travel to see him for the whole weekend when work is over. he loves it where i live and vice versa. we are very much in love and its true what they say that absence makes the heart grow fonder. we spent most of the festive period together and after only 2 days apart i cant wait to see him again tomorrow. its like i havent seen him in ages.

Of course! If I went months without seeing my boyfriend I'd still love him. Days? That's silly.

Yeah. If its genuine love, you can love someone a lifetime- even if you arent still together.
its nice to spend time together, but to me its unhealthy for people to spend literally 24/7 with each other.

not seeing is not a problem unless their isnt a reason for them to be away for so long. Communication is the bummer. You havent spoken in 5 days without a valid reason then y'all need to re-evaluate

Days, months, years, lifetimes. Love is not defined by physical proximity but by proximity of the hearts.
