Am I the only hispanic (Ecuadorian + El Salvadorian) who can't speak spanish fluently? Like every other hispanic person I meet knows more spanish then I do, or speak it perfectly. There are a few exceptions, but that is because they are not fully spanish so they speak english at home. So I just wanted to make sure I'm not the only hispanic who can't speak spanish as well.

Your not. It's hard when you came up in a home that spoke primarily english.

Aw, it's okay, my old neighbors are a Hispanic couple and they don't speak Spanish fluently. But it's never too late to learn.

¡Buena suerte!

Funny that you ask this question! I was just poking fun at my friend Matthew for not knowing a word of Spanish. Hes 1/2 Mexican, 1/2 Cuban! Dont feel bad, youre not alone!

I'm sure you're not alone. I have friends who are native Spanish speakers who did not pass the language on to their children (I don't know why...)
