First they had lime rind suckers. Not a glamorous job but they were a popular group of employee. Always first on the list for any party. Then they started to use a high pressure steam jet spray to clean and sanitize the bottle. The high pressure would blow the ring riht out of the bottle. Most of the rind suckers transferred to this new department and maintained their party popularity by word of mouth. Now adays bottles are recycled and not refilled at least not in this country. Someplace still might be employing rind suckers.

Good question, never thought about it but it makes you think about if the moldy old lime got recycled with the bottle and then what you are drinking.
