Revelation is similar to Genesis.
Rev 12:7 And there was war in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels,
Gen 3:23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
Rev 12:8 And prevailed not; neither was their place found any more in heaven.
Gen 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
Rev 12:9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
{Gen 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou [art] cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:}
The angels cast out of heaven were all the sins we inherited from that one bite of forbidden fruit.
Christ is the tree of Life, in which man was not allowed to taste
Gen 3:22 ¶ And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
Gen 3:23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

To my understanding this is referring to Armegedon, At the end of the great tribulation, Yes we know that satan & his angels was cast out of heaven in the very beginning of creation, But we have to see a picture here in Revelation Chapter 12, This woman that is to be delivered Is Israel, That man child was Christ, then in verse 3 There was another wonder in heaven, Now go down to verse 6 The only time this woman will flee into the wilderness is at the beginning of the great tribulation to be nourish for 3 1/2 yrs. or 42 months or 1260 days, Now let's take Rev. 12:7 over into Rev. 19:14 Those armies that sat upon white horses & dress in fine linen was the Bride of Christ with Christ at their side, & this is where satan & the anti-christ makes war against Christ & his Bride, also known as armegedon, When you go back to Rev. 12:11 They over came him(Anti-Christ) by the blood of the lamb, (that is those foolish gentile virgins, that did not go in the rapture & also those that die during the tribluation, Those that are killed in the great tribulation will also be resurrected to live & dwell in the millennium. & by the word of their testimony, which is referring to those Jews killed during the tribulation. See, One group had the testimony of the Blood of the lamb, (Gentiles) The others had their testimony by the word of their testimony (JEWS) Go down to verse 14 in Rev. 12. This woman (Israel will be given 2 wings of an great eagle, that she might fly into the wildeness, into her place, These 2 wings is those 2 Prophets that will be in Israel at the beginning of Daniel's 70h week, They will prophecied for 1260 days, & be killed at the beginning of the great tribulation, where she is nourished for a time & times & half a time from the face of the serpent, (not the serpent that was in the garden) But the anti-christ. If you notice the time peiod this woman is to stay in the wilderness, Time= 1yr. & times=2 yrs. & 1/2 time = 6 months so 2+ 1+ 1/2 = 3 1/2 yrs. or 42 months or 1260 days. in verse 16 the earth that is open up means that other countries Took the woman in or Israel in., So you are really looking at the great tribulation, & at the end of the great tribulation satan & his armies make war with Christ & his bride in Rev 19:14 Back to Rev 12:8 It says that there was no place found for the dragon or his angels, because, at the end of armegeddon, satan & all his ngels will be chained for 1000 yrs. during the millennium. I hope this has help you some, sorry for the mis=spelling

He was thrown out of heaven once and is allowed to come back temporarily. This passage is his final attempt to overthrow God .Michael the Arch Angel slams him down to the ground and then Satan goes nuts. That's when he's thrown into the Abyss for 1000 years. Then he tries one more time after that, and God annihalates him.Into the Lake of Fire.

It appears to be reflecting on Luke 10:18
Jesus said, "I have observed Satan fall like lightning from the sky.
That has this footnote:
8 [18] I have observed Satan fall like lightning: the effect of the mission of the seventy-two is characterized by the Lucan Jesus as a symbolic fall of Satan. As the kingdom of God is gradually being established, evil in all its forms is being defeated; the dominion of Satan over humanity is at an end.

Basically there was a brawl in heaven, and the bouncers kicked out the party responsible. But then that party went down the street harassing heaven's neighbors.

Michael is often pictured in Jewish literature as the leader of God's angelic forces. This war typifies the ancient and continuing struggle between God and Satan.

It is what awaits Satan and his hoards in the future.
Isaiah 14 describes Satan's original fall from grace, but he has retained access to heaven, and is still subject to God's requirements of him. (see Job 1)

Rev 12:10 "Hail Satan!"
Looks like the Christians were wrong about their book.
