It could explode with the pressure changes in the cargo hold and ruin everything in the luggage. Also, you could be questioned on why it happened. It's only 99 cents to $2 for one. Avoid the hassles.

You can put them in either hold or cabin but they must be no more than 100mls (not 150mls as someone else said) and all liquids must fit comfortably in a clear plastic resealable bag no more than 20cms x 20cms, if going in hand luggage. If possible put in hold luggage though as it saves alot of hassle and stops over zealous security staff making you throw it away.

yes its safe,, i worked at edinburgh airport testing the new section , 12 hour shifts constantly loading test laugage from check in to loading at the back of the airport ,, then take it round again and start all over again ,, there were bottle of coke in the laugage and they never burst once ,, and we were slinging them about ,, plus they were old laugage bags(test bags) and the bottle's were out of date by a year or so(thats why we did not drink them )so they did not expload in all that time,, and if they allow u to put them on a plane then that tells u that the chances of them exploding are very slim,,,, the bottles are tested to with stand these sort of things! rap some clothes round it to help ..hope that helps u make up your mind

Not a good idea. Pressure changes, temperature changes, baggage handlers, They all ad up to a potential problem for the rest of your luggage. Coke is sold everywhere, buy it in the other end.

Yeah. I traveled recently and did this. You just cannot take anything over 2ltr carry on.

As far as I know you should be able to take it with you as hold baggage, but you had best visit the airlines website for more details.

Should be safe though as it is made from girders.

no, it will explode and cause a sticky situation that might ruin/stain all of your clothes and although you are allowed to have it, its not a good idea and to correct the people above me: if you check it in, you are allowed to have over 3oz of liquid but that only applies to carry on items

No. Is it really worth the risk of having your coke explode in your bag?

Save on weight and buy one on the other side. Coke is anywhere.
