Dandruff is pretty simple, but a lot of products out their do not work or cause more harm. The biggest cause for dandruff that I know of is conditioner. Do NOT use conditioner on the scalp EVER and do not use the 2 in1 (shampoo with conditioner added) products EVER.
If you do condition your hair, just apply it to the hair and do not let it touch your scalp.
I find that a good anti dandruff shampoo works well if you do the above. Vinegar helps to, but again, you still need to do the above.

Everyone has yeasts that live on our skin. Some people have an adverse reaction to this yeast on the scalp, which leads to dandruff. The best known treatment is to regularly use a shampoo that contains the ingredient ketoconazole, which kills the yeast on the scalp. A common brand name is "Nizoral" shampoo. Use it daily for a week or so, then taper down to 2-3 times per week (alternating with a non-medicated shampoo). It really works for 98% of people.

You need to go to a dermatologist, sometimes its more than just dry scalp. He'll be able to give you a special shampoo that will treat your hair. Lemon juice doesn't do anything and vinegar just cleanses all the gunky stuff that you put on your hair. Besides you might make it worse. Just go to the doctor its your best option.

Good luck

HI, Pantene is good shampoo for dandruff. Bur sometimes dandruff is skin prob. so I request u , u can discuss with Dr. & use best for ur hairs. Drinking water 8 to 10 glass within day & eat jucie & fruits & green vegtebles. Don't touch tension. No eat fast food. You can use any aurvedic powder like hena, amla whichever is best for hair. Cause aurvedic powder is nature gift & shampoo is chemical. You can get result +tive by aurvedic powder after some time & u can get result also +tive by shampoo within a few mnt. or days but that result (shampoo's result) is not useful for long time.

Use "Soak & Float" from Lush.

It's a bar shampoo and it works miracles, plus, it doesn't test on animals ;-) I had a bad dandruff problem right before Christmas and this was suggested to me. The first time I used it I had corrected my problem. It really does work, good luck.
