There is no simple answer. It isn't really based on pounds ... it is based on BMI - body mass index.

The term "overweight" is used in two different ways. In one sense it is a way of saying imprecisely that someone is heavy. The other sense of "overweight" is more precise and designates a state between normal weight and obesity.

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) now defines overweight in terms of the BMI (the body mass index) which is a person's weight in kilograms (kg) divided by their height in meters (m)squared. Since the BMI describes the body weight relative to height, it correlates strongly (in adults) with the total body fat content.

Overweight is a BMI of 27.3 % or more for women and 27.8 % or more for men, according to the NIH.

Obesity is a BMI of 30 and above, according to the NIH.

it all depends on the body type. There could be 2 people who look totally the same but one has more body fat. It al depends your body fat ratio. I am 127 and 13 but I am at my healthiest. If you feel short of breath at times, not much energy, or if you jump and it jiggles A LOT then you need to get in shape. Hope this helped. :)

That depends on your height, bone structure and many other things like % body fat.

Here is a link that tells you the basics :

Hope this helps out.. but there is no set weight that makes you "over"

Sorry, but that isn't the way it works. For example, someone who is 5'1" and 160 lbs may be considered "over weight" while someone 5'10" and 160 lbs would be considered slender.

It depends on your height and bone structure. There is no one set answer.

It depends on your height and weight. BMI test below. If your percent falls in the average for your age, you are not over weight.

It goes to the website for seventeen magazine. Under health, click on BMI. the link takes you right to it, but in case it doesn't work.

There are many factors to consider before answering that question. Like how tall you are is a big one. You need to look up your BMI body mass index.

It all depends on your height. Go to any website that has a BMI calculator and type in your height and weight; it'll tell you what category you fall under.

It depends primarily on your height and weight, and secondly on your age. You should look up your BMI (body mass index) on-line. There are calculators and charts available free of charge on-line.
