Lot's of them. How about a nice classic spanish Rioja? Full bodied, rich taste, and actually you can find some that are decent priced.

If you are having a tapas party serve red wine. Tapas is Spanish. There are many Ribera del Duero wines on the market. Prices vary, but I have not yet had a bad one. Also there are now some very nice Spanish Shiraz wines. Rioja, another Spanish variety, is good, but heavy for many tapas. Forget that white wine, you won't see that stuff in a tapas bar.

I would pair the tapas with a red zinfindel. The wine would stand up to any spicy flavor.
However: I tend to make a batch of sangria for my tapas nights. It is light and fruity and serves as a great counterpoint to other spicy flavors.
Here is my recipe:
in a large stock pot. mix
2 bottles of Red rioja wine
1 bottle of orange soda
1 cup Grand Marnier
1 orange cut into 8ths
1 lemon cut into 8ths
1 apple ,diced
& plenty of ice
Mix well and pour into pitchers for service

OMG, it looks like a thermonuclear reaction!! even nonetheless, I discovered that there is a wine on the marketplace noted as "Mimbres crimson" from the St. Clair Vineyards (in New Mexico) which will easily shop your tongue whilst it looks like it truly is disintergrating. so far, once I've had Mimbres crimson with extraordinarily spiced nutrition, it spared the digestive equipment, too.
