Muslims are really devoted to their religion, they would not become atheists by no chance. The same question can be asked for any religious group. A strong belief doesn't mean they lost contact with reality.
Media distroys our vision of reality more than any religion.

Highly doubtful, atheism gives no hope. At least Islam has hope, though I personally believe its misguided, they at least have it.
