She is happy and she's saying ha ha I have your daddys love and you can't do anything about it. It's her way of showing off.

I have two male Cockatiels. I've seen female Cockatiels do that but so do the males. That's just the way they communicate, they play, it's funny and cute. The bird is being affectionate. And a female Cockatiel will scream most of the time, it's the males that do all the singing and fancy whistling as a sign of showing off to females. She has her way of showing off by bobbing up and down and screaming. The bird is doing what it's supposed to do.

You need to think about how silly this really sounds. You want to shoot the bird or smack it? Is it the bird that is annoying because it is doing something that comes natural for birds or is it you for hating something so small and innocent? Could it be that your dad pays more attention to the bird and you feel left out, therefore you hate it and want to harm it? Really, what is your problem? It sounds like you are the one that is in need of attention, and by wanting to harm it, you are asking your dad for his attention. Talk to your father and tell him how you feel. And get some help.

Have some patience here okay..,its just a bird doing its thing! She wants to mate and is feeling "frisky" and normally does this around a person she is especially "bonded" with. Chances are shes is a single bird right? (as the same applies with humanes!) She has viewed someone she is in "love" with. hey maybe its you..! My bird does this often with a specific person. Think of when people are in heat ..sheesh they DO much sillier and annoying things!!! Give the little creature a break.

All cocketiels do this. They like to bob there head a lot. It is very natural and all cockatiels do this. It may seem annoying but just think of the noise it's making like music.

I HAVE OWNED COCKETIELS FOR SOME TIME AND IT SOUNDS LIKE THE ONE YOU HAVE IS TRYING VERY HARD TO GET YOU ATTENTION...THESE BIRDS LOVE TO BE THE LIFE OF THE PARTY AND ARE VERY CURIOUS...TRY OPENING ITS CAGE DOOR FOR PERIODS THROUGHOUT THE DAY...THIS WILL ALLOW THE BIRD TO GET EXERCISE AND ALSO TEND TO ITS CURIOUS NATURE...ALSO TRY SPENDING SOME TIME WITH THE BIRD...IT SOUNDS LIKE THE BIRD REALLY LIKES YOU AND EVEN THOUGH THE FEELINGS MAY NOT BE MUTUAL AT THIS POINT YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT THE FUTURE MAY HOLD...

Why don't you find something else to do. Your question doesn't make you look too cute. Smack a caged animal. Maybe you need to talk about your anger to a professional.

I was a breeder for a couple of years and I'm not sure why she is doing that but I would take her to a vet for sure. It doesn't sound good.
