Most of the world uses the metric system. A few countries (United States, Liberia, Myanmar and a few others) do not. Here's a map that will show you the "white" non-metric countries.
It is hard to say which "continents" do not use the metric system because there are countries in Africa, Asia and North America that haven't converted to metric. But there are many countries in these continents (even North America) that *do* use the metric system. And if you want to get technical, apart from scientists there is no permanent population on Antarctica, so it's kind of silly to include that in a list. In fact, I bet the scientists do work more in metric units there anyway.

All continents use the metric system (including the research scientists in Antarctica). The United States is officially metric and is currently in the process of a "voluntary" change to metric which it has been doing since the 1970s. Unfortunately, when setting a standard, government intervention is required so the changeover to metric has moved very little (except for the auto industry and large soft drink bottles).
There are pockets of non-metric uses throughout the world. The UK's roads are still in miles. Canada still prices loose groceries primarily in pounds although it is weighed in kilos at the cash register. Also, the lumber industry in Canada is mostly imperial. Real estate area in Thailand is mostly non-metric (rai and ngan). Traditional Japanese units are used quite a bit in Japan still even though they have been officially metric since 1924.
Overall though, metric is the international standard that is understood virtually anywhere in the world.
