Summer Ale, brewed by The Swale Brewery, UK.
A gorgeous golden cast ale with a hint of grapefruit. Best drunk on a late summers afternoon in a pub garden. Add good conversation....perfect.

Ale - Shepherd Neame 1698 Celebration
Lager - Peroni or perhaps Tiger
Stella and the like may be popular, but taste like they've been brewed in a tramp's shoe.

There is no right answer to this question. I qam a firm beleiver that there are synergies between beer and food that improove the taste of both. Try drinking a flemmish red ale with a hunk of stilton cheese....but to answer your question....one of my all time favorites is Anchor Steam Beer.
