In the "File" option in iTunes choose "Import Folder" and select the folder with the music files in.

there is no itunes fuction but it can be done. Open Itunes and the folder with the music in it. make it where you can see the sidebar of itunes. click and hold the file and drag it to the sidebar ontop of library, when it highlight blue, then let go and it will transfer but it will still leave it in the folder you took it form.

All you need to do is tell itunes where the music is...I use a CD as a source most of the time....and then hit the "RIP" designaton on top...it will copy them into itunes.

in itunes preferences you can tell itunes to organise your music for you.
if you double click the downloaded file a copy will be made into your itunes folder
