How do I tell the girl I have had 6 dates with over the past 2 months, that I want to be friends only, that I am NOT romantically attracted to her, and I don't want to be her boyfriend anymore, but I would be willing to be a friend if she wanted. Do I do this on the phone, in person, or by email ?

Definitely in person, by email could be seen as cold, and also a bit of a shock (I mean imagine seeing an email from a girl you are dating and you're like oh nice :D and than "YOu've been dumped" o_o lol

So yeah, in person, but gently and think in advance what you'd say if she asks for a reason.

Good luck!

Be very straight forward and honest. After you tell her your reasons, be patient and listen to her. Remember it is a open communication between two people that makes a great friendship. When you do decide to do this, do it in person. This way she knows that you truly care for her feelings as a person. Also this way she can see that you mean what you say and not just saying it. Good luck!

He did not freak out once you informed him you enjoyed him and he even presented you to acquaintances after that ... So probability is he's feeling the comparable... yet Geez in case you 2 are such stable acquaintances and shop having "advantages" why have not you reported the emotional part of a dating? Time to advance up and gain this... stable success!

Mmm person usually goes over better.. if your scared through the phone. But never do it through texting or e-mail. That just says pathetic scaredy cat. Don't be harsh about it cause obviously she still likes you.

Take it from a girl....do it in person. Yeah, it takes guts to tell that to someone because it is hurtful, but trust me, she'll appreciate your effort.

I think its awesome that you at least have that decency and respect for her. Way to go dude!!

Phone and email are pretty harsh- but you sometimes gotta do what you gotta do. If it breaks her heart, explain your reasoning. I would tell her in person but if you can't then just email, text message, idk. If you want to stay friends- tell her in person. If not, just text message her or something...

do it by email if ur scared she will emotionally freak. by person if u can handle it and if u know she wont physically abuse u. by phone if u can control her, emotionally. tell her wht u want to tell her. dont be a coward and hide ur emotions.

In person is your best bet, take her out to something non-romantic, and let her down gently.

In person and kindly, but firmly. Just be honest.
