Oh, try spell checking next time,,its not Humbo, or Humboldt, it's a Jumbo jet because when introduced in the late 60's, it was the largest civilian plane in service. The company (Boeing) did not like the 'Jumbo' moniker,which, by the way, was bestowed upon it by the media, because Jumbo infers a lumbering slow dimwitted behemoth. Ironically enough, the shape from the hump actually helps the jet to maintain one of the fastest speeds of all subsonic airliners.

It was first flown with passengers in 1970, and in those
days the largest commercial jet was the Boeing 707. The
Jumbo was so large in comparison, with centre row of
seats and an upstairs bar that it completely outclassed
all others. I was on one of the inaugural flights and sensed
the amazement of all on board. It had already been
baptised by Boeing as Jumbo as a sales gimmick! And the
name became synonymous of comfort and service.
