i am gonna guess no, if the melon in question was whole and unblemished! top effort tho, but if you enjoy heading fruit please do not try a pineapple. i did and it looked as though i had headed a ruogh cast wall! wife not amused, heh heh

I think you burst the melon and thats how you hurt your neck. If the melon stayed whole your head would be hurting instead.

No scientific reason for this - just a random uneducated guess!
