you can run the cap under hot water, use a dish cloth to twist, or thump it on the bottom

Twist the cap and pull it off.

twist a rubberband around the cap, then grip the rubberband when twisting the cap off.

Do you own a jar opener? It looks like a big piece of round rubber. If you have one, they work famously for things like that.

I've used either a dishrag or a pliers. I didn't realize that food products are supposed to be child-safe, which means kids can open them and we adults can't. :)
