So blind people can use them, of course. Just because you are IN the car and can reach the machine, doesn't have to mean that you are DRIVING it!

This question has been asked several times before on Yahoo Answers.

Drive-thru ATMs have braille on them because they must meet ADA standards (Americans with Disabilities Act).

I have noticed that when I use ATMs, most are now all drive-thrus. I would prefer getting out of my car and using the machines in the bank lobbies. I think there are safety issues involved with that.

I am also a petite woman. I have to get out of my car to use the drive-thru ATMs. So, if I have to get out of my car to use the machines, I imagine a sight-impaired passenger could get out of a car to use the ATM as well.

That is actually a good question, but what does it have to do with religion and spirituality?

Why shouldn't there be? A blind person hopefully wouldn't be driving the car, but that doesn't mean that someone couldnt drive them thru. Duh...
