I ask because while surfing earlier I came upon an http page that listed Clinic appointment times for patients in Stockport U.K.
All names/addresses/postcodes were available as were the patients home phone numbers and treatment requirements - IE Physio etc.

Surely this is wrong is it not?

You should report that to the "Contact Us" page and tell them what is going on, and find out if that is the way it's supposed to be.

Your right though, it is NOT supposed to be allowed to be viewed by anyone. It's confidential, and that company can be sued if they don't change that. Someone can get hurt like that. Either way, it's still not a good thing.

Go back to that website and report it as an error.

Best Of Luck,
Shelley

If that's true you should report it. This is absolutely private and confidential and whoever they are in Stockport would be in very serious trouble with the law. I hope it's not true what you saw, that's scary!

Will, why are you asking a query which you already understand the respond to? you will desire to understand that Yahoo! has bought out to the government Media complicated. someway it incredibly is of their suited pastime for Obama to win. they are extraordinarily left leaning in such diverse techniques. as an occasion they insist on being politically maximum appropriate. final night I published an answer approximately my in demand beer, which happens to comprise the Spanish word for black (no longer in connection with the race of folk, yet to the actually colour of the beer) yet because of the fact the word is likewise the term that grew to become into used to describe black human beings at one think approximately our historic previous, bud has been replaced with a extra well-off, and much less judgmental term that refers back to the Continent of commencing place as antagonistic to a minimum of one's degree of melanin, the clever being concerned "independent" individuals at Yahoo desperate that the would desire to sensor portion of the beer's call. i'm hoping that I even have illustrated how bias Yahoo is in direction of the liberals, if some thing so harmless may be censored, some thing that doesn't pertain to race in any respect. The imbeciles are taking on the worldwide, and that i do no longer like it.

Why report it to Radio Manchester? The first person I would think of reporting it to probably wouldnt be the switchboard operator of the local radio station! Especially not when we're talking about confidentiality.

It's in breach of the data protection act, which states, among other things, that only a restricted number of (specified) people will have access to the data.

In the United States, it is a Felony to post those messages. It is called the Hippa (sp.) law. In the UK their laws are much different than in the US (the Constitution).
