About 2 pinches worth, which is about 1/8th of a tsp. It just depends on what you prefer. Start small and add more until it is to your liking.

It really depends on how salty you like your food!

I have a friend who doesn't use any salt in her pasta! When I make it (about half a pound) I use about five or six shakes of the salt shaker. Probably less than 1/4 teaspoon.

They key is to salt the boiling water before you put the pasta in. Salting it when the pasta is in the pot cooking just does not work as well.

On average, for every 1/2 pound of pasta you need 1 gallon of water and 2 tablespoons of salt. The amount of salt varies according to the volume of water, not the amount of pasta. Thus, if you were to find yourself using more water than is necessary, you must also add more salt.

I dont put any salt in it, I dont want to add extra salt to my diet on something so trivial, I do not taste a difference between the salted and the not. However, I do add basil or rosemary or fresh lemon juice to the water when I cook it and I find there is more flavor this way

I put in about 2 small handfuls. I think that would be about 3-4 Tbsp. in a large pot with a pound of pasta.

I would say about one teaspoon per gallon of water. Salty water makes better pasta.

Depends on the size of the vessel. You want it about as salty as sea water.

Enough so it tastes like a day at the beach. I.e. probably a couple of handfuls to one pot of water. You can always taste it first!
