It all depends on your conscience. If I were starving I'd steal like a freak. But only to eat. Others may prefer to starve for fear of judgement. All up to you.

Yes it is but it would be more wrong if the person the stole from prosecuted. I would forgive them wouldn't you. I might even give them some money or more food or try and help if I could. But what if they stole from me and I too was hungry. What if my children went without food that I obtained in the right way by growing or buying and didn't have a way to get more food for them. The right thing would be to ask and I would share at least my portion.

Technically, the poor are supposed to able to "glean" the fields. The farmers were supposed to pick the crops and leave whatever fell for the poor .Since most of us live in towns now,we can glean at the "Food for the poor " kitchens or even behind Super Markets. You shouldn't steal ,someone would feed you .

Stealing is wrong!! If you are so hungry and there is no charity, or you are too proud to ask for charity, then you are in a position to chose to do right, and starve, or do wrong and steal. Many of us do wrong and later atone for our wrongdoing. Stealing is only one of many wrongs committed everyday, and each of us does wrong. This is not an excuse. Only a fact.

If I became too poor and so hungry I am going into a grocery store and open up something so that I can eat it. I'm not stealing it. Not taking it out of the store.

This question has been the bane of philosophy and ethic classes since they have been in existence. Is it wrong? Yes. Would God forgive? YES! Would man forgive? Most likely not. The wrong is when somebody is that hungry and nobody will give them food. Jesus the Christ said, "Whatever you do for the least of these, you do for me." YBIC

Yes it is wrong to steel for any reason. Most people who are to poor. It is because they are too lazy. And even they need not be too proud to beg. People who steel what I have earned by the sweet of my brow are asking to get their a'ss shot. But if I was hard up I would damn well steel before I would go hungry.

I say no it is not wrong, id say you should ask before stealing, If the person you ask says no they wont give you any food then they are wrong and then you should steal from them.

I would suggest going to a soup kitchen or something. But no, I don't think it would be a terrible thing to steal food if you have no way of getting any.
