Does it get in the way of you having a good time or you think Christians are holier than thou? CHristians are supposed to be loving & peaceful, as Jesus taught.

I hate nothing and I don't hate anybody, however I stand up against those who don't follow the religion they proclaim to be an adherent to. Religion is a mental concept that far too many people twist to try to control others or to fit their own agenda according to their own deluded thinking thereby causing great suffering for a LOT of people. People who actually practice altruism via their religion are given a bad rap by the ones who are selfish.

I don't hate religion. I hate what people Do with Religion. Some Christians do act holier than thou - even to the point of telling me they are not "sinners" but everyone else is. That is hardly peaceful and loving. Some people in Islam pull the same crap. It gives the whole religion a bad name and turns people away from ALL of it based on how those certain people act. Are you going to want to join something where the Leader says it's bad to be a liar, then you find out the Leader is a liar (I am not talking about Jesus here - I'm talking in general)?

Some people hate it for different reasons: some think it interferes with their personal god-relationship, while others see it as a cause of much world misery.

I don't hate religion. But I get angry when people do bad things in the name of their religion. I just wish people would not take their religion so literally, which has so many negative affects, especially intolerance. And then there are people who even want to impose their religion on the rest of us. This is arrogant, unfair, and in some countries, illegal. If christians are loving and peaceful, and keep their religion away from me, my family, and my government, then we can be great friends and neighbors.

I don't know anyone who truly hates religion but I do know several people who are frequently unhappy with religion and with religious people. The most obvious reason does seem to be the hypocrisy but there are a multitude of different reasons.

A lot of people, myself included, believe that religion should be a personal, private spiritual journey to be practiced in private so that the utmost concentration can be given to it. What we see today, however, is so-called "religious" people wearing their religion on their sleeves and pushing it into everyone's faces (while secretely behaving in a contradicting way). I don't mind religion as long as you keep yours to yourself and don't try to make me and everyone else, whether we agree with you or not, live our lives by your religion.

Sometimes religious individuals influence laws, etc. in ways that those not sharing a particular religion disagree with. The angered individuals occasionally direct their anger towards certain religions instead of certain individuals OF that faith, as their anger should be.

This word hate again, take a religious person to use it. I dislike religion because it is against everything that I think man has achieved in his short time here on earth.

I am a Christian -- I detest religion.

Religion was created by man. Rules and Regulations -- thinking you have to do this or do that to earn your way to heaven.

I am not religious.

I have a personal relationship with my God.

Religion enslaves people.

A relationship with God frees people.
