speaking as the father of a little girl that was raped why don't you tell me why i should ever forgive her rapist?
judgeing by your previous questions i must ask are you a sex offender or the victom of a sex offender? i must say that it sounds more like the first than the latter and if i am wrong then i am sorry.

sex offenders hide behind excuses like i couldnt help it or its s sickness,or so and so did it to me basically they dont deserve forgiveness they have taken over someones body against their will they always pick on those weeker then them, they are pampered by prison systems what do they want forgiveness for dont tell me they say they have fount god and seen the errors of their ways
Sex offenders should be branded everyone should knowwhat they look like when they have been caught Forgiveness is not even a issue for these things
What is the attraction to taking a childs innocence why cant they just spank their bits like most people when a sexual urge is present and they dont have a adult consenting partner why go out looking for any victim if you commit such a crime you should be exposed you should be mutilated but never forgiven try living your life when your the victim of a rape
forgiveness for committing a crime yes but an atrocity never

Forgiveness is one thing-letting it happen again is another. I left my husband because I found out he was sexually abusing my daughters. I believed them-we got help and left. Was it easy to forgive him? Absolutely not. But you have to understand forgiveness. Forgiveness is not a feeling, it is a choice. Did I feel like forgiving him? Absolutely not! God commands us to forgive so we can be forgiven by him. So, I had to make a choice. I chose to forgive. That doesn't mean I forgot. That doesn't mean I will ever let him back into our lives to give him a chance to do it again. Am I still angry about it? Sure, at times. I have to go to God in prayer and ask him to help me, I have to remind myself that I have forgiven him. Have my children been able to forgive? Yes, but they have not forgotten either. One of my daughters told me, "Mom, all the punishment we could ever think of in the world cannot compare to the punishment he will receive from God." Are my children and I still suffering for what he did? Yes, and it will always be with us. But, God helps us turn it into good by helping others.
In my personal opinion sex offenders cannot be cured without Christ. They must stay away from the source of their offense. They need to ask God for forgiveness! Lifetime commitment to Jesus Christ is their only hope for a cure.

Most people are going to say that whatever they have done it isnt as bad as being a sex offender. They can understand why people steal, lie even murder most of the time, but cant get their heads round sex offences. Maybe because they generally have more far reaching consequences than 'ordinary' crimes.

I WOULD never in a million years forgive someone who molests my child. Actually, I'd see that they went to their own funeral instead of jail. I was molested as a child, and CANNOT wait for the bastard to die. (my so-called grandfather) Are you implying that I should forgive him and allow him around my child? My mother took this approach with him, and it obviously DID NOT work. And to answer your question, if I molested a child, I wouldn't want forgiveness, or expect it. Every child molester should be tattooed with "I am a danger to children" on their foreheads when they are convicted.

you'd want it but the question is, do you deserve it?
sorry if someone molests children, they dont deserve it. if i committed such an act i wouldnt EXPECT it, i would want it yes, but expect it no.
how many get let free only to commit the same crime again and again? how many children must suffer because some people think other people should be forgiven?
