O That's Good, I'll rob shops, rob money, rob houses, and do all kinds of evil acts, and then I'll say I'm sorry.

I should get away with it, Hay

No he was put on the cross because he was a radical man, not to save mankind. What do we need saving from? People do bad things sometimes, at other times they also do good things. 99.9 per cent do a mixture of both. If there is any kind of god I'm sure they're not judgemental. That's a human 'quality' after all. What happened to forgiveness? God created everyone and then condemns his creation to suffer because they failed. What sort of a god is that? I really hope if there is one, he's better than that. If not I shall be lodging a complaint.

Very frightening, this religion business isn't it? Pay no heed to it. Have faith by all means, but in people, not a god no one can prove exists.

Well first you must believe that the Bible is the pure spoken word of God, otherwise what I'm going to say will mean nothing to you. With that being said, Jesus said that ALL have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God. We are ALL but filthy rags, covered in sin. In other words, we were all born into a fallen world since the fall of man in the garden of Eden (see Genesis chapter 3). That's why there is death, sickness, disease, suffering, etc. Be you a murderer or a Nun, without accepting Jesus Christ into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior all are doomed to spend eternity separated from God (hell). So to answer your question, YES, Jesus went to the cross to reconcile man back to God. But it is up to the individual to accept Him or not. As for God not being able to save His son from death, Jesus said that no one takes His life, but He lays it down for the slaughter. It was all a part of God's plan (and was fortold throughout the Old Testament) since the beginning of time. As far as it making sense - you have to believe this on faith, not a mind thing but a heart thing.

Jesus sacrificed His life for everyone, from the most self-righteous to the most wicked. Provided a person turns their back on their former way of life with it's sin and wickedness, and pursues a life of holiness and obedience to God, he will be saved, no matter what he has done.

God is no fool. No genuine repentence means no forgiveness.

Amongst Jesus' disciples were a thief (Judas), a terrorist (Simon Zealotes), a collaborator(Matthew Levi), a prostitute (Mary Magdalene), a murderer (Saul called Paul).

There is only one type of person that cannot find forgivenes
s. That is, the one who, after becoming a Christian and experiencing the power of The Holy Spirit, and the Love of God, turns their back on it and calls it evil.

Yes, but each of us, even the most depraved by man's standards (remember that to God all sin is the same. The white liar is just as guilty as the mass murderer) must ask for forgiveness and accept Jesus as our personal Savior. As Jesus said, "None shall get to the Father but through Me."

The Bible says that Jesus was put on the cross so that everyone who BELIEVES IN HIM will go to heaven. And believing in Him implies to repent, that means, to turn from your sins. So, you wouldn't do any of those bad things. Not EVERYONE, that wouldn't make sense. (there is a religion, I think, which says that everybody will get saved, but that is not true Christianity, I think, just read the Bible on the subject).

The truth is no one really deserves to go to heaven. Jesus died to save us from our sins, so we could go to heaven. But you have to go through the proper steps of salvation, repenting being baptized and receiving the Holy Ghost. Once you go through those steps you are born again and what you did before you were saved is forgotten. We are Gods children. If your child was a murderer wouldn't you love him enough to give a second chance?

He was mainly sent here to set an example, to show us what kind of person it takes to get to Heaven.

Jesus came to save/help the sinners. The book of Romans states that everyone is a sinner.

Jesus, I THINK it was Jesus that said that only sick people need doctors.

Noone is perfect and noone is claiming to be perfect and without sin. We are only humans. In my opinion, Christians just need to be very aware and have a conscience of right of wrong. I think that's what Jesus was trying to tell us....to have a heart.

Jesus will forgive those, who have done wrong, who are trully remorseful, know they've done wrong, and want to be forgiven and straighten up their life. Just like if an enemy came up to me or and you can tell that they're trully remorseful and sorry for what they've done and they're begging for forgiveness, then I'm not going to be able to help myself but to forgive them. Have you never done anything that you felt horrible about and were trully remorseful about?? Of course you have, everyone has.

Also, one of my favorite Bible verses is the one that states, "what has a man if he gained the whole world but loses his soul"

>>Was Jesus put on the cross to save mankind so that every can go to heaven?<<

Everyone CAN, but not everyone WILL. Christ opened the gates of Heaven, but we choose whether or not to enter.

Not everyone will be in the church as His Bride. He was already designated to go take up the cross to bear our sins and our punishment.

Now, your sins can only be forgiven if you repent. If you go around murdering everybody (sound like anyone familiar?) then you can't be saved and you will have to bear the suffering and punishment for sin, which is like, death. (not good.)

Hope that helped!

In Christ, Melodie
