which country has dealt with immagrants better. canada who uses the multicultural society, who encourages you to dress the way you would like, wear what your religion would like you to wear, and build a church of your culture and live anywhere you would live in the country. or is it better like the USA has done it, a melting pot, and kindof said nono to wearing their religious clothes and practicing their beliefs, really pushing them to be christian.

Being a proud Canadian I would have to go with our view of multicultural society. We appear to be far more tolerant of people and their believes and although there is still prejudice here it is not as high as it is next door.

Canada is good for multiculturalism and I like that because you can be yourself without trying to follow someone else's beleifs and dress code.

Anyways, I think the bad thing about Canada though is that is keeping the people in groups. There is a china town in toronto, there is a huge jewish community north of there in a farily big town. I think that people of their own culture stick with their own race and culture rather than getting to know other people. In my high school we had these oriental people in my school and they stuck to their own race and talked in their own language no matter what grade they were in excluding people from other cultures or races.

Just a thought I should put out there.
