Roger:

I make custom units for people around my neighborhood so I feel I have a certain degree of expertise in this area.

Without actually putting my hands on the merchandise I couldn't really make an objective observation of the quality. I do have some remarks though. The top is not as large as you might think. 30"X 48" is not huge. It is adequate for some things but it barely provides enough space to assemble a large jigsaw puzzle. I suggest you take a tape measure and compare the size to a student desk, coffee table and a couple of other things. Just so you will have an idea of exactly how large it really is. Again with the top, they don't tell you clearly what the top is made of. My concern is that it may be MBO or particle board with a laminate. The problem with that is if the top is not well supported around the edge and across the top it can develop a sag in the middle. That is particularly prone if you leave items on the table that weigh more than a few pounds. More about top. If the laminate is not properly installed it can peel and in doing so it really makes a mess of the table. You also should note the price of the accessories as you will probably want at least some of them. $299 is an attractive price and if it is what you want then go for it.

If I made this it would be all wood, with a 3/4" plywood top completely banded and cross braced with 2 X 3 kiln dried pine. Legs would be of similar material with no wheels. I would want this thing to stay in one place. The problem is you won't get my work for $300, it will be much closer to $3000 but it would include the accessories, a top size of your choice up to 4 X 8 feet and it would be strong enough to rebuild a car engine on if that was your desire. And the shipping wouldn't be free.

All right that is probably a lot more than you wanted to hear but when I get started I tend to keep running for a while.

Good luck on your decision. You will make a good one for yourself. The fact that you are thinking about it and asking others is a good sign of serious consideration. The pros and cons will tip the scale one way or the other.

Hi

I am David. I introduce my woodcarving print to you. I am sure you have never seen this kind of style. You may be very interested in them. Chinese paintings are so wonderful and different that many people can come and buy them. If you buy them, they will make you surprised and happy. You will feel Chinese countryside culture at home.
Thanks

I like it.. but do you?
It seems like a good price.. if I used a drawing / sketch table for my career or hobby that I did a lot... id buy it.
If you are looking to save money though, try looking in the paper or placing an ad saying you are looking for one.

It is an oversized drafting table! That is all I see. Visit art stores and get prices...how about purchasing dept at college or tech schools for a used one?

it is a bad deal b/c maybe after some weeks, the table may crash, i will advice u not to buy it and buy some cheaper one that may not crash on u when u are working but if u want it because u like it, u can buy it, but i just think there are better art table outside than this.

Hell yes! What a great table. If I needed another table, I'd buy it. In fact I bookmarked the site.
