and afterwards they are planning to sedate me though do you still know anything during the procrdure and how dangerous is this to have done?

ive had it doen twice, it doesnt hurt cause they give you a local first so you dont feel anything, and then after it kinda hurts like a little bruise for a couple of days

If the sedation is well done, you won't remember much. The local anesthetic with the small needle will help with the pain and the injection site may be sore for a couple of days. Overall, it is not any more traumatic or painful than an injection into the butt or a flu shot.
How dangerous? In the hand of experienced and well trained practitioners it is very safe. The list of complications is very long but the 2 most common ones are 1. that it may not help or 2. a "spinal" headache. All the serious complications (like bleeding, infection, nerve damage are in the 1:10,000 to 1:100,000 range).

They numb the skin before they actually put in the big needles, so its not really painful. You will need someone to go along to drive you home. Good luck.

I had an eighty eight year old friend go through it and it took about fifteen minutes and time to rest and out...Usually the person who does it is very good at it and very experienced...

its not dangerous though epidurals do hurt... not to discourage you. they dont hurt for very long though
