I know that egg whites are high in protein, but according to the nutrition label on an egg carton one egg contains 71% cholesterol! Wow, never would have guessed..what are your thoughts on eggs.

I don't understand why egg yolks have such a bad rap. Yes, they have cholesterol but so does most of the crap most people consume on a daily basis.
One large egg only has 2 grams of saturated fat. It is also a good source of Protein, Vitamin A, Folate and Phosphorus, and a very good source of Selenium....very low in sodium.
If you healthy and active go for it. Remember everything in moderation. I eat close to a dozen eggs a week....half of which is with yolk cuz I work out.

Oddly enough, an egg is about 120 calories...only 17 of those calories are in the egg white and there's more of that than the yolk! Do up the hard boiled egg and throw the yolk away unless you have another plan for it (egg salad and such), and sprinkle a bit of garlic salt on the white. Good stuff, egg whites...

Raw eggs are dangerous to eat because they could contain salmonella or other harmful bacteria. Consuming raw eggs also means you're likely to consume the yolk, as well. Which is high in cholesterol and fat. Hard boiled eggs are definitely better because they're cooked, more pleasant to swallow ;) and the yolk can easily be separated and disposed of. Plus you can salt the remaining yolk or sprinkle it with other seasonings and it tastes delicious!

They are good for you, but I heard the yolk isn't. Just eat the white part of the eggs.

Its very filling. And protien can help your body not to lose any muscle when u r on a diet. Your hunger is shut for a very loong time. Its perfect for people who are working out. But do not eat egg yellow. You can eat egg salad with some vinegar dressing...its yummier than u can imagine...mmm thanks for reminding me! ;)

The yolks are fine in moderation and yes they are healthy.
