Communication, being open and honest, NEVER complaining about the other, loving one another, knowing they are your best friend, calling when you can't make it, timeliness, faithfulness, understanding...and on and on. Good luck. OH! Prayer and a faith in God is the most important of all.

Well you must have a good comunication with your partner, other wise you'll hardly know each other and most likely you'll end up not telling your partner your deep down secrets.
I would say there's no real key to a successful relationship, you just have to keep in mind that you should never lie about anything in your relationship, always be honest, trustworthy, and if your in a relationship with someone you love very much then you should always show that person how much you love them and need them.

Communication is ESSENTIAL for a successful relationship, being able to share your feelings and talk about them.
Another key thing is to share your memories, talk about all the happy times and experiences you have shared and how you got through all the bad ones AND keep the ROMANCE ALIVE!...romance is always they key to a great relationship.
