Guys what are some reasons as to why you stay friends or "hang-out" with an ex? My ex dumped me a year ago yet last week he called me and asked me to go see a movie with him. Then he took me homw, and when I asked him why he wanted to see me, he said that he wants to see me every once in awhile. By the way, we never had sex cuz he knew that I wanna save myself for marriage. So what does he REALLY want?

I don't get that either.
I broke up with a guy recently, and thankfully he didn't want to spend time with me, even though somewhow we are going to anyway.
The guy I'm going out with now, who is much better by the way, said that above all else, he would like to stay friends with me. We were close friends before the relationship, and it's developed, but some guys just seem to like having a lot of friends....

I'm the same way too. If the guy hasn't pissed me off severely by using me, which has never happened, I like to stay in touch. No flirting, no insinuations, just hanging out.

A) He is indeed staying around to see if you change your mind and screw him senseless.

B) You know too many of his secrets and he's afraid that if you're pissed you'll tell the entire female population in your town/school/office/whatever and he'll never get laid.

C) He misses you and would like to give it another go.

D) He's lame and has no one else to go out with.

E) You have a hot friend he's got his eye on.

That's all that comes to mind for the moment...

see its very perplexing for adult men to decline... they wouldnt even say no to their male frens coming over and staying the nite.... they experience being a factor of the male species he has some responsiblity for the girls he's conscious... have faith me he probable has no longer something in the direction of his EX.... he's having a toddler with you.... He for sure loves you sufficient... after he needs you out of all to be the mummy of his toddler.... And darling there's a reason she is the EX and you are the present and the destiny :)

To be honest, it sounds like he wants to keep his options open - since he did break up with you. It could also be that he may want to feel wanted.

Or, I could just be a bit cynical, and he may authentically want to be a friend or see how you're doing. If he was a friend before you two started dating, it's very possible that this may be the case.

A guy will usually stay around if they feel that they have a good chance of getting back together with a girl or he is really lonely.

But since this person asked you to go to a movie he is trying to see if you would go back with him

I don't think that most guys want to stay friends. Not that we want to be enemies either, but in most cases if there are children involved we try to remain friends for that purpose. After being divorced I sometimes wish I never had to see my ex's.

sex.

He is just waiting. Just in case.

Plus he wants to have sex with others, and then get you back when he is ready to settle down. That is the problem with no premarital sex, it can ruin a great possible relationship.

Just think how happy you would have been if you just would have given up the booty.

Either he wants to get back with you, You hav something that he wants or he just wants sex.
Most men I know of its the sex bit.
Since you havent had sex with him he may just be lonley. Wants a girl friend but not a relationship.

Maybe he thinks youre a very nice person and would simply like your friendship. Sometimes its isnt that complicated. If it its bugging you a lot, just ask him about his intentions nicely, but i think its quite normal and i wouldnt find anything wrong with it if you had a friendly break up...

well they is history between them, also if we lose the one we love there is always a feeling of hope that we can get back together with our x girlfriends it,s like having a safety net when we lose the one girl we truely love when we brack up with the girl we last had. that,s why rebounds don,t work.
