I recently injured my knee, in the past month, and i have been under house arrest for the whole time, and I still have a month to go. Would anyone be able to recommend a workout routine that will help me maintain my body, and possibly shed the extra couple of pounds that i gained, remember I can't use my right knee, meaning, I cant bend my knee nor can I apply any extra pressure on it, my chest and stomach are getting weaker and starting to come out, so I will take any advice you can give. I already push ups and crunches in the morning, but I have become a couch potato, and my eating habits have not changed from before the injury.

You can go to Academy or Sports Authority and get a set of resistance training tubes. You hook them to the hinge side of a door with a special attachment, hook on the handles, and your ready to go. You can buy them in a kit with three different resistances of tubes. I purchased the kit by gofit.com at Oshman's (now Sports Authority). It came with a dvd and exercise poster. I just recently got started with it and quite frankly....I like it. The kit is easy to store and doesn't weigh much but provides a very good workout.
