Weddings here normally consist of a wedding party which is the bride, groom, ring bearer, flower girl, Maid of honore and brides maids, grooms men, and the bride and grooms parents. The night before the wedding there is a rehearsal and a rehearsal dinner for the wedding party. At the wedding the 'Wedding March' is played as the bride walks down the aisle with her father, who gives her away, behind the maid of honor, flower girl, etc. Traditional wedding dresses are white. This is all the traditional way. Watch the movie "Father of the Bride" With Steve Martin for a traditional view of American Weddings.

Honestly, it depends on who you get married, if you marry another Dominican, you can celebrate your wedding as if you was in Republica Domicana, weddings are however you wanna celebrate them, you want a flashy wedding, go for it, you want a small cozy wedding do it, it depends on you and who you want to marry.
