But now shes been sneezing alot and her nares are a little red. Her droppings are coming more watery now and ive seen a little discharge coming from her nose. Is there anything i can do to help her get better if she does have a cold, without taking her to an avian vet? i cant really afford to take her rite now. PLEASE HELP ME IS MY BIRDIE SICK?

keep her in a warm place with a towel over most of the cage...never put her near a draught or near an ac/unit..and never put a fan on her...maybe its more than a cold..birds usually are very good at hiding whats wrong with them..so yours must be realy sick...my advice is the only sound advice...THE VET...sorry if you can afford it...but you may lose your bird if you dont

It sounds kind of serious. If you can I'd take her to a vet as soon as you can.. I don't know but I would. I know it costs alot. I'm sure you're keeping her warm. a light above the cage is a good idea too. I hope this helps. You might already do that but just in case - the pet store will tell you what you need. (a special light that warms) a heating pad under the cage can work some too. If she is at the bottom of the cage take her right away - okay? Good luck - I hope she's okay.I hope I could help.

Is your birdcage in a draft? Near a window? Near a door? If so, move it to another location. Put a blanket around the cage to help keep in warmth. Keep the water changed more frequently, several times a day. Keep the cage cleaned out. Call your vet to see if there is anything else you can do without a visit or ask about payment options?

You bird MAY recover without a vet's visit, but DO NOT COUNT ON IT.

Birds, by nature, hide their illnesses. If they appear to be ill, it may be too late without antibiotics.

Sounds like she has caught a cold,

Keep her away from doors and windows,

Try and get the room warm for her and keep the temprature at the same warmness without it dropping down.

If it gets worse you'll have no choice but to take her to an Avian Vet - sorry

Goodluck

Yes your bird is sick. You MUST take your bird to a vet as soon as possible!!! Its very important to see a vet straight away to give your bird every chance of recovery. In the meantime, keep your bird VERY WARM, and OUT OF DRAUGHTS!!! Please do not delay.
Good luck,hope all goes well

Call up the vet and talk to them about the situation. See if you can make payments. She's sick--you need to take her in. Ask a friend or your boss for money if you need to.
