My boyfriend & I are getting married & we both dont want a traditional wedding. We're thinking Vegas & using a themed chapel or one thats within a casino. Has anyone also done this? and what / where would you recommend?

We got married in Vegas in September and had a great time. We chose the terrace of the Bellagio overlooking their lake and the fountains play for you at the end of the ceremony - it was wonderful.

I'm not sure if you mean you want a themed wedding (you can go for anything from Star Trek to Blues Brothers, marry on a pirate ship or have anyone from Liberace to Elvira to turn up), or just want a Vegas chapel. The Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel offers the widest variety of themed ceremonies, but if you want a more 'traditional' Vegas chapel Little Church of the West, Little Chapel fo the Flowers and Graceland Wedding Chapel are my favourites amongst the independents.

Most of the hotels have lovely chapels so it's difficult to choose. The website below lets you browse every wedding venue in Vegas (all 70 of them), and to search every wedding ceremony by cost and themed or traditional ceremonies.

Good luck - and have fun!

I was married at the Paris Las Vegas and it was beautiful. The photographer took great pictures. It was a very traditional wedding with unity candle, vows, and everything in a very nice chapel. We booked a room in the buffet restaurant for everyone that attended. The coordinators were very accommodating. They have many wedding packages to choose from, including getting married at the top of their Eiffel Tower. After dinner, we were standing outside the restaurant, and some of the Paris street performers were singing, so my husband asked me to dance right there....we were able to have our first dance without even having a full-blown reception.

If you want even more corny than that...many celebrities get married at the Little White Wedding Chapel (which I thought was a bit too bawdy looking.)

Get married at Mandalay. The Venetian is small, Bellagio to costly for what you get, and the Excalibur is grimy. The Luxor isn't undesirable. neither is the Paris chapel. My spouse and that i spent an entire week there in the previous the marriage sorting out the quite a few chapels. Mandalay only looked as though it could have each and everything. The chapel grew to become into superbly adorned, the individuals have been superb and the equipment grew to become into mind-blowing for the fee.

There are so many Wedding Chapels in Vegas and most will satisfy or meet your requirements from the traditional to the kinky. Just name the sort of thing you want and they will accommodate you.

I have a friend that got married there last year - theirs had more of a traditional look to it though, even though it was just the two of them. (We all got to see the DVD when they got back.)

They stayed at the Bellagio and got married at the Little Chapel of the Flowers, and they were very happy with it. She looked at a lot of websites beforehand, though - I think Treasure Island was one of the hotels she looked at that had a chapel onsite.

Good luck, and congratulations!

I got married at Ceasars in Lake Tahoe. It was very beautiful and so easy. All that we had to do was show up! They arranged for flowers, music, photographer, and everything else we wanted. Pretty good deal for all that we got. I bought a package deal over the internet and everything was ready when we flew in.

I couldn't have asked for more! Check out there website below...
