Why did Moses recomend JESUS as the fortold PROPHET?

Toward the end of his life, Moses uttered these portentous words: “A prophet from your own midst, from your brothers, like me, is what Jehovah your God will raise up for you—to him you people should listen.” (Deuteronomy 18:15) The apostle Peter later applied those words directly to Jesus.—Acts 3:20-26
because just as Jehovah anointed moses he also anointed Jesus

Moses said God would send yeshu'ah he was going to send salvation for isreal. one who would save them from sin there are many reverances he made to Jesus and the cross but he did not know when Jesus would come.
