Ignore your fathers wishes. It's just stupid to restrict yourself to one race, and the fact your father wants you to means he's racist. Maybe someday we'll all be exactly the same color and then these things won't be an issue anymore.

Your father needs to understand that people are people not matter what the race is.
I realize that you love and respect your father ......and that's a good thing.........but you also must be respected.
Show you dad what kind of a person you boyfriend is and hopefully he will begin to realize that not only is he a good person but he makes you happy and that should surely count.
Try to talk to your Dad about how you feel and tell him that even though the race won't be pure that together you can make the best of both races and his race will always continue in you.

I've dealt with this many times. I've dated 95% black men my whole life (or some sort of mix) and I'm Hawaiin/white/chinese myself. Parts of my family have had problems in the past, but I've made it very clear that this is my life. This is my choice. Now, if they don't agree with my choices in my life, then that's their problem and not mine. In the end, you are the one who has to live with the choices that you've made, nobody else. You're dad may have his views about other races, but don't make those your views. But this also doesn't mean you have to rub it in his face or put your father or your bf in a bad situation together. Just do your own thing and hope that your dad will see the error of his ways in due time.

Anyone that believes that latino is a race is a dumb person, latino is not a race. Latinos can be from any race. You're probably a brown latina, right? Then you have white and amerindian blood in you. Cause that's what those brown latinos are. In other words, latino not only is not a race, it's not a pure race neither. I think that is very funny how those latino that have never put their foot in Latin America and don't know nothing abouth Latin America are so proud of beeing latinos.

I would tell your father how you feel and let him know that this boy is someone who you truly love and it shouldn't depend on his race. Tell your father that the boy has the same respect, love, and support as he does. Allow them to maybe talk and get to know each other better.

If you want to be with your bf forget your dad. You have to do what makes you happy. You cant please everyone and sometimes that means your parents. I'm in the same situation. But My dad hates my bf because he has piercings, that's the only reason. I don't care though, my dad isn't with him I'm with him.
Good Luck!

This is not your problem Asia ... it's your fathers. If you love your man, stand by him ... after all, he may be the man that you spend the rest of your life with. Tell your father that you love him, and respect him ... but, you are in love with your b/f and you choose to continue your relationship with him. I wish you well ....

when you grow up to be a mature woman, you will be able to make a better decisions about what's best for yourself. Don't put your boyfriend in the middle of this if you're unwilling to stand by him and/ or stand up to your dad.

How old are you? If your underage, then you should listen to your parents ALWAYS. It may seem unfair but at least you get an idea of how bigoted your papi is.
