But the problem is that if he gives you that validation, you're just going to lower your self esteem and maybe even bash him for making you feel so low about yourself.

It's not about what other people think you look good in it's about what you feel good in.
My boyfriend is completely honest when it comes to clothing, if he sees me feeling uncomfortable in the clothes he will tell me its not the one, if he sees a big smile & that I am happy in what I am wearing then he tells me I look great. Help him find what you are looking for by telling him the good points and bad points of a specific piece you are wearing & he will learn what you like & don't.

Uh no. but whut I would do is that i would tell him how u feel but the only thing is that if u dont like the way he responds. I mean yah i would feel that way too but i man I think he is doing it bec he doesn't want to upset u and he knows that if he upsets u hes has a chance that he wil be single again.

Don't be angry with him. Stop and think for a second: you think you want the truth, but that's what your girl friends are for. Your boyfriend is supposed to treat you like the most beautiful girl in the world; it seems like that's what he does. He's a keeper :)

I know. that is how my boyfriend is. My girls and I picked the ugliest things and put them on. WHen we asked our boyfriends how we looked they said, beautiful. I don't see why they can't be honest.

ive had it and well when he loves you you wil lokk good no matter what. try a differnt question - "is this ok to wear or do i look like a goober?" (and smile and laugh) just let him know your worried or feeling self concious.

maybe about half the time, just say "well, i like it, i think i'll wear it" so he knows his opinion isnt very appriciated. once in a while, ask him his opinion so he doesnt feel ignored, and he knows to say when asked.

You're putting the guy in a lose/lose situation. Stop asking him stuff like that.
