a question about bottom permanent retainer?

well today it came off. i had braces for 3 years and its been about 4 years since ive had them off. so ive had the permanent retainer since then. I cant really rememvber what my ortho said but i do remember him saying as long as im 21 years old or older when it comes off than its okay. im 22 right now. It doesnt bother me that its gone. its just it feels weird behind my teeth like they need to be smoothed out. should i go to the dentist?

can i just go to the dentist or do i have to go to the ortho again to buzz off the cement??

You can go to the dentist and they will buzz off the remaining cement.

no that's normal , I had that too , it will soon go away
