No and No

(1) There is a possibility of HEARING LOSS when playing your iPod at too high a volume. That was the same issue raised when Sony came out with the Walkman/Discman.

You crank up the music beoynd say 80 dB for some time and there is a good chance of (permanently) damaging sensitive nerve endings. You may not go deaf, but you just won't hear as well.

(2) Some years ago, there have been lawsuits against Motorola (the inventors of the cell phone) for brain cancer related to cell phone use, caused by the radiation emitted by the cell phone antenna. Johnny Cochran died from a brain tumor which was alleged to be behind the ear that he used, to listen to his cell phone. (Remember, the man was always on the phone.)

The latest study report that came out earlier last year; however, shows no correrlation between cell phone use and brain cancer.

No. This is an urban myth! Check out site like Snopes and others. The vast majority of these things are just baloney.

There's seems to be a correlation in early study results but this will require more longitudinal research for a definitive answer.

i have heard this too. but apparently most cellphones/mobiles these days arent that harmful to you. ipods are really bad for you and ever second you listen to anything that is plugged into your ears your damaging them. (i no its so sad! i could never live without my ipod or mobile =( ) good luck.

No it is not true. Studies have shown that this is not true althought this rumor continues to circulate all over yet.
