It sounds like your hair is really suffering. A good idea would be to stop all the styling for a while and after that don't do it as often. Go to your hair dressers and have a REALLY good cut, that's at least 2 inches/5cm off it (sorry) and then look after it from then onwards.

Good luck.

ha-my hair was bleach blonde and I decided to perm it..this ended with one of my co-workers taking some clippers to my head and me wearing a hair peice for a few weeks...luckily I can pull off a short spikey hair cut. The only type of color you can successfully do in combo. with a perm is a semi or demi permanent color. (professional color-not a box that crap is harsh) there are perms for hilighted hair and all that but after a while of doing both it's going to take it's toll on your hair anyway. the best thing to do it to go see a stylist in your area and talk to them about what your using and what your options are. If this is a stylist doing this to your hair-find a new one! You prob. just need a really good haircut to get that damaged stuff off, and take it easy on the chemicals....I always like to sleep in some conditioner every once in a while too :)

I suggest you stop coloring it and then go to the salon so they can trim your hair. You should use a deep conditioner once a week (I use Aveda Damage Remedy Intensive Restructuring Treatment- I ebay the big bottle to save $$- and keep it in my hair for 20 mins.) Also, the Aveda Brilliant line is made for textured and chemically treated hair. Also, if you use heat, make sure you use heat protecting products. Good luck!

That only means that your hair is overprocessed. Your best bet is to leave it alone (meaning no more chemicals - no perming, touch ups, colors, rinses) Similar thing happened to me, I went and chopped off like 2 1/2 inches off; that was one of the best things I could have done; in addition to that I do hair treatments once a week. I've noticed a tremendous difference in the strenght and quality of my hair....

If you have the patience for this sort of thing than maybe. You're going to need to spend lots of money on trying to get your hair back to half way decent.
You need to find a karatin treatment for your hair, and instead of using regular conditioners, everyday you're going to need to apply a mask of some sort to your hair.
You might go to a salon and see what they tell you. Stylists have lots of tips when they can analize your hair.

there is no way to reverse your hair back to its healthy condition after you have permed and colored it because you have damaged it so much by doing these things it is now breaking out you need to relax on all the chemical treatments and let your hair rest try deep conditioning and hot oil treatments cut down on blowdrying and flatironing this damages your hair even more try wearing it natural
