I have two scales, one at work and one at home. They both tell me the same numbers, but i can't help but think they are lying! last thursday i was 117, friday i was 117, then by tuesday i'm 112 - could i have possibly lost that much?

Have you been out sick with a cold or flu? Are you taking any medication? Did you just complete your menstrual cycle? Anything that can effect your water weight can make the scale jump drastically like that, but your weight will come back up if that's the case.

Weight can fluctuate by as much as 5 pounds up or down over the course of the day. My suggestions to you are first, you should ONLY weigh once a week. You seem to be weighing yourself far too often. Second, when you do weigh in, do it first thing in the morning, naked, after you've used the bathroom. Even if you do continue to weigh every day, if you do it on the same scale at about the same time in about the same circumstances, you'll get a truer picture of your weight.

Well I might not have an answer for that ...but I can defiantly sympathize with you....only mine are a l;ittle bit....larger gaps...like two days ago..i weighed myself in at 110 on all scales and all had the same number..and i was feeling good about gaining some weight....but today i am 100? I'm not even sure if it was possible to lose ten pounds in two days...it worries me though..so yes it can happen..I seem to do it every week I lose about ten pounds..although I still don't understand that myself..but my answer is yes....if I can lose ten in two you can lose five in four

Did you have on a big sweater last Thursday/Friday? Did you go drinking and become dehydrated? Small factors can influence weight loss.

Stop weighing yourself every day, try just once a week, otherwise you are at risk of becoming obsessive about your weight.

You are fine, as you are.
