I have somewhat large pores (especially nose area). My skin isn't extremely oily, and I wash my face twice a day (getting ready in the morning and before bed at night). I try using warm (but not hot) water to open the pores so they are easier to clean, and I rinse thoroughly. I've tried several cleansers CLAIMING to help minimize the appearance of pores but have had no luck. Any suggestions?

Have you tried going to a dermatologist yet?
Often times steps like that are needed when you can't faze your skin problems.
They might have solutions that over the counter products can't offer.
Good luck!

Well if it's not causing you spots then it's not really a problem but you could go and see your local dermatologist. There's not really a lot you can do with open pores, as people's skin is all different. But remember, after you've washed your face with warm water, always wash it wish cold water (as cold as you can stand) which does actually close your pores back up again.

Good luck!

Try using witchazel, it's a great astringent. Also wrapping your face in a hot towel then a cold one will help the pores to close a little more. The reason why they are large is because there is dirt in them, try having a series of facials done using natural products.

You should first clear them of clogged debris. Once they are cleared and clean you will have less breakouts.Excessively oily (especially T zone) areas of your face cause clogged pores, and clogged pores get bigger. What you want to do is avoid getting more of them, treat the ones you have and minimize what's still visible.Exercise will improve circulation and oxygen to your skin, and avoiding junk food and alcohol will keep toxins from building up and escaping through your skin.

Large pores are mostly genetic. The only "scientific" thing I know that has proved to reduce the size (you will never get rid of them) are products that contain glycolic acid in them. You want it in its purest form. I just watched Goodmorning America yesterday and a dermatologist suggested using any doctors brand (dermatologist brands).
