my 13 year old has a girl friend and he said he TOLD her that she wears a thong yet she is only 12 he keeps telling me that she is telling him to much infoe but he doesnt want to hurt her fealings by dumping her (he still loves her some) but yet im not sure how old a kid should be to wear one because i dont wear one =p
please tell me?

is your key bored messed up? and I would talk to her mom and dad cause if she is telling people tmi then i doubt that her parents know she wears one and i would talk to your son and make sure that he didn't get asked to have sex or any thing
and maybe you should have your son dump her evan if it hurts him
and a 12 year old girl shouldnt be wearing a thong you should be AT LEAST 15 or 16+

I'm not sure, but I do think 12 is to young.
My Mom bought a thong for herself but it was to small so she gave it to me, I'm 15. Although I don't feel comfortable to wear it yet.
So I guess it depends on the parents them selves as well.
Like some parents say dating at the age of 12 is ok, and some say wait until the age of 16, it's all different in every ones eyes.

They can wear a thong when there 18. An adult! I dont think kids should be wearing sexy panties. Go to walmart and that will work. No one should be seeing the panties in the first place.
"he still loves her" love at there age. No! its puppy like or lust. Its not like there going to end up married. its two little kids datting. I think she could be trouble and want more in the realtionship. Every day more and more younger kids are having sex. and even if your son dont want to take it that far. perpresure hes a boy and if he turns a girl down he will or might be made fun of and that scares me that he will just do it to avoid that. talk to him and try to end the relationship. your his mom you can have a say at this age

First of all girls shouldn't have thong underwear until at least 16 I was 17 before I got some. Second I would tell my son that he can't see that girl anymore she trouble! Also I'd talk to her parent's it sound's like something fishy is going on at home. I've never meet a 12 year old that felt okay with talking about what kind of underwear they wear! 12 year old girl's are normally shy about their bodies something just doesn't sound right to me.

With the crap the young girls are exposed to today I am not surprised to hear that 12 year old girls are now waring thongs,,,. They are trying to fit into a world of sexually crazy adults, turn a corner and you find a half naked girl on a 50 by 50 billboard, so why are you so surprised, they are just trying to live upto "the girl image".
Now to answer your question on how old a kid should be, for me never, they are a sexual object, who wants a string between their a** all day, very uncomfortable. I only ware them to put a smile on my husbands face.

I would think 16 or 17 would be about rhe right age. Girls under 13 frequently haven't learned how to sit down in a skirt or dress without showing their underwear especially as short as some of them wear their skirts. So if they are wearing thong underwear, and don't sit like a lady, they are showing waaaay to much to anyone who cares to look.

My daughter is 11 and she doesn't really know what a thong is, but she calls her small fitting undies a thong. I do agree that they can make certain clothing look better, but kids really shouldn't have to think about it.

When they need to! Definitely not 12. I'm 13 and some girls wear them to be "cool". I think you are old enough when you are mature enough to ask your parents and go buy one. Old enough to be wearing tight enough clothes to even need one...and let me tell you...that shouldn't be 12 or 13!

13 is way to young, i would say when she is old enough to buy her own and is out of the house. and i think 13 is a little young to be having a girlfriend anyway, they do not know about love......i think this girl sounds like trouble.......especially if she is making your son uncomfortable.
